Our Mission

The ISBPD’s mission is to contribute to maintaining peace, security and development by strengthening International community efforts through awareness, advice and by providing a framework for negotiation and arbitration in order to further universal respect for justice, for the rule of law and for the human rights and fundamental freedoms which are affirmed for the peoples of the world, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion, by the Charter of the United Nations.

To achieve that ISBPD:

  • encourages negotiation as a means of resolving armed conflicts;
  • offers its expertise and assistance in drafting, implementing and monitoring peace agreements;
  • serves as representative for the oppressed and victims of armed conflicts;
  • provides its expertise and assists countries wishing to establish and maintain a democratic governance;
  • serves as an observer in free, transparent and democratic elections;
  • promotes social justice and participates in related developmental efforts in the areas of health, agriculture and education.
